One of the things photographers may overlook is what they are walking on. Even the crummiest motel in the most boring town in America has a parking lot ant that parking lot has what I call Painted Roadstones. When you study the painted stipes, you find patterns of texture and color that lend themselves to photographic abstraction and often surprising beauty. I've uploaded examples of these abstractions to my Painted Roadstones Gallery at FAA.
